James J. McEntee III was named Chairman of The Bancorp, Inc., and Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Bancorp Bank in November 2021. James serves as a Managing Director and was previously the Chief Operating Officer of Institutional Financial Markets, Inc. (IFMI). Since August 2014, James has been the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of FinTech Acquisition Corp. He was previously the Chief Executive Officer of Alesco Financial, Inc. from its incorporation in 2006 until its merger with Cohen & Company in December 2009; the Chief Operating Officer of Cohen & Company from March 2003 until December 2009; and Managing Director of Institutional Financial Markets, Inc. (a successor company to Cohen & Company) through October 2013. Previously, James served as Vice Chairman and Co-Chief Operating Officer of PrinceRidge through October 2013, and a Principal in Harron Capital, L.P. (a media and communications venture capital fund). From 1990 through 1999, he was a stockholder at Lamb McErlane PC and from 2000 until 2004, was of counsel to Lamb McErlane. Since October 2014, James has served as a Director of T-REX Group, Inc., a private company specializing in renewable energy financial analytics and software. Prior to that time, he was a Director of Pegasus Communications Corporation, a publicly held provider of communications and other services.

Damian Kozlowski serves as Chief Executive Officer of The Bancorp, Inc., President of The Bancorp Bank, and a Director of the company and the Bank. Damian brings to The Bancorp more than 25 years of experience as a highly regarded financial services leader.

Damian joined The Bancorp after having served, since 2010, as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Modern Bank, N.A. Previously, Damian served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Capital Financial Group, Inc. (2007-2010). From 2000 to 2007, Damian was responsible for developing The Citigroup Private Bank’s global growth strategy to significantly build position in the high-net-worth wealth management market. At Citigroup Private Bank, Damian managed 4,500 employees in 98 offices in 31 countries. He served as Chief Executive Officer, Global Private Bank (2005-2007); President, U.S. Private Bank (2002-2005); Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer (2001-2002); and Global Head of Business Development and Strategy (2000-2001). Damian served as a member of Citigroup’s Operating and Management Committees and was the ranking business leader on the Global Anti-Money Laundering Council. His prior experience includes positions held at Bank of America Securities, Marakon Associates, Rostra Holdings and U.S. Trust, which has equipped him with deep expertise in investment and commercial banking, wealth management and private equity investment.

Damian holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and BS & MS from Boston University.

Mark Connolly serves as Executive Vice President and Head of Credit Markets. In this role, he leads all credit activities within The Bancorp business lines and discontinued operations, reporting directly to Damian Kozlowski, Chief Executive Officer and President.  Since joining the company, Mark has managed the development of the Integrated Business Plan for The Bancorp.

Previously, Mark held several senior leadership and credit roles with Citi Private Bank and Morgan Stanley Private Bank. At both institutions, he managed banking and lending teams comprised of more than 300 professionals and over $20 billion in loans outstanding. Mark managed lending solutions focused on wealth management clients with loans secured by marketable securities, commercial real estate, alternative investments, aircraft, art and business interests.

Mark also has roots in the fintech sector, having held senior leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer at Tresata, a rapidly growing software company that is focused on delivering data analytics to the financial services sector.

He received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance (magna cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Olek DeRowe serves as Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Real Estate for The Bancorp. Olek leads the Real Estate Bridge Lending (“REBL”) business line based in New York City, and brings over 20 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. His extensive experience ranges from pricing, structuring, and distribution of commercial mortgage loans to brokerage and consulting.

Prior to joining The Bancorp, Olek held various roles within the commercial real estate finance industry, including senior positions at Capmark Finance (formerly GMAC Commercial Mortgage), CWCapital, Amherst Securities, and Rainieri Partners.

Olek holds a Master of Science degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science and Mathematics from The State University of New York at Albany.

Paul Frenkiel has served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Strategy at The Bancorp since joining the organization in 2009. He is also the Bank’s Principal Accounting Officer. 

Previously, Paul served as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Republic First Bancorp Inc., and as the Chief Financial Officer of First Bank Delaware. Earlier positions included Chief Financial Officer of Jeff Banks, Inc., from 1987 through its acquisition by Hudson United Bancorp in 2000. He also worked as Chief Financial Officer at Dominion Bank.  Paul is a chartered bank auditor, a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Greg Garry is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of The Bancorp, with over a decade of risk, audit, compliance and operations experience in the financial services industry. As COO, Greg leads key divisions of the Bank including Operations, Financial Crimes Risk Management, Risk Management, Payments Risk/Operations and Consumer Compliance. Greg and his teams modernized the Bank’s risk management, compliance and financial crimes ecosystem to support some of the leading companies in fintech.

Since joining The Bancorp in 2014, Greg has distinguished himself through service excellence in several prior roles including Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Chief Audit Executive. As Chief Risk Officer he had oversight of a wide range of internal control functions related to enterprise-wide risk management, third-party risk management and cybersecurity. As Chief Audit Executive he became the primary architect and implementation manager of The Bancorp’s risk-based internal audit function.

Greg received both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in economics and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of South Dakota.

Ryan Harris is Executive Vice President, Head of Fintech Solutions for The Bancorp and based in our Sioux Falls, SD office. With over twenty years of payments experience at The Bancorp, Ryan is responsible for the development and execution of the revenue growth initiatives for the Fintech Solutions business. Ryan is responsible for all aspects of The Bancorp Fintech Solutions Issuing Sponsorship business and is responsible for collaborating and forming strategic partnerships with traditional payments companies, fintech organizations and prepaid program management organizations. Since 2005, Ryan has led the growth of the Bank’s portfolio of partnerships, which now represent over 125 million active cards in circulation and over $50B in payments volume for The Bancorp each year.

John Leto is Executive Vice President and Head of Institutional Banking at The Bancorp. John is uniquely positioned to serve the strategic needs of our Institutional Banking clients based on his tenure with some of the most notable financial services organizations. He transitioned from his position as Chief Administrative Officer where he led Operations Services, Marketing, Public Relations and Investor Relations, as well as Human Resources, Organization Development and all Sales Effectiveness and Practice Management programs.

Prior to joining The Bancorp, John served as Senior Vice President and Head of National Sales of Wealth Management at TD Bank, where he managed the sales expansion strategy throughout the U.S. Previously, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Americas Private Bank, where he also served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of StanChart Securities International. As part of Standard Chartered’s U.S. Executive Committee, he was responsible for all Wealth Management businesses within the U.S. and Latin America. John also held several senior management roles at Citigroup, where he served as Citi Private Bank’s Chief Administrative Officer with responsibility for the U.S., Latin America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

John received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering and a Master of Science degree in engineering from New York University Tandon School of Engineering. He also received a Master of Science degree in industrial/organizational psychology and a Ph.D. in applied research in psychology from Hofstra University.

Jeff Nager is Executive Vice President and Head of Commercial Lending at The Bancorp. In his role, Jeff leads the Small Business Lending and Commercial Fleet Leasing Teams. Prior to this position, he served as the Bank’s Head of Small Business Lending.  

With more than 25 years of experience in small business lending, Jeff most recently led the Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending Team at SunTrust Bank. Previously, Jeff held SBA-focused leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Community South Bank and several other national SBA lenders. Jeff is currently a Board Member for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL), the trade organization for SBA 7(a) lending. He has also served on the organization’s Small Lender, Large Lender and Southeast Regional Liaison Committees.

Thomas G. Pareigat has served as Executive Vice President and The Bancorp General Counsel since 2011 and brings more than 30 years of legal and regulatory risk management experience to the organization. Prior to joining The Bancorp, Tom was a partner at the law firm of Lindquist & Vennum, PLLP (now Ballard Spahr LLP) where he represented financial institution clients on a wide range of corporate and regulatory matters. Previously, he was Corporate Counsel at Marshall BankFirst Corp. and Senior Attorney at Bankers Systems, Inc. (now Wolters Kluwer Financial Services). Tom is a nationally recognized speaker and author on emerging risk issues within the financial services industry and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of the American Bankers Association’ s (ABA’s) Bank Compliance magazine. He has also been on the faculty of the ABA’s National Compliance School and Graduate School for Compliance Risk Management.

Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. He received a Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, IL. While there, he was a member of the National Trial Team and took Master of Laws coursework in Unfair Trade Practices.

Jennifer F. Terry serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer at The Bancorp Wilmington, DE headquarters. She is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic plan for all Human Resource functions. Jennifer leads objectives in implementing automation in all aspects of HR to ensure a superior employee and candidate experience. Her HR technology, employee benefits, workforce planning, talent management and succession planning have set the Bank’s HR strategic direction to increase overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Jennifer brings a successful track record spanning more than 20 years of Human Resources experience. Previously, she served as Vice President, Senior Manager of HR Operations and Delivery at TD Bank. In this role, she set strategic direction, offered solutions to improve employee engagement, and maintained the company’s top position in the marketplace for overall employee experience.

Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Montclair State University and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in leadership from Rosemont College.

Maria Wainwright, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer joined The Bancorp in 2013. In her role, she leads the strategic planning, development and execution of the Marketing, Internal and External Communications, Branding and Investor Relations divisions of the organization. Maria’s primary responsibility is generating new revenue with the use of market research, product strategy, marketing communications and public relations.

With 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Maria has held leadership positions at firms such as Delaware Investments and Lincoln Financial Group, where she served as Creative Director responsible for developing the overall corporate brand platform in various mediums such as print collateral, web content, video production and digital marketing applications. Maria has distinguished herself as an asset to the overall vision and execution of the Bank’s strategic agenda.

Matt Wallace serves as Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer for The Bancorp, where he oversees strategies and capabilities for all areas of Information Technology across the enterprise. His responsibilities include planning, policies, standards, architecture, coordination and analysis of all information systems and infrastructure. Additionally, Matt leads the Enterprise Project Management Office advising The Bancorp strategic initiatives from start to finish.

Prior to joining The Bancorp, Matt was with Bank of America for 13 years, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President leading Enterprise Card Issuance. Previously, he was responsible for the Risk and Control process, as well as a multi-year, strategic planning initiative for several core operational areas across Bank of America.

Michael J. Bradley has been a Director of The Bancorp, Inc. and its U.S. subsidiary since 2005. Since 1998, Michael has been a co-owner and Managing Director of BF Healthcare, Inc., a supplier of physician services to hospitals and assisted living facilities. He has served on the Board of Directors of Resource America, Inc., a specialized asset management company, since 2005, and SourceCorp, a provider of business outsourcing solutions, since 1996. Michael has also served on the Managing Board of Atlas Pipeline Partners GP, LLC, an oil and gas pipeline company, since 2004. Previously, he served as Chairman of First Executive Bank, and as Vice Chairman of First Republic Bank. Michael is a certified public accountant.

Matthew N. Cohn has been a Director of The Bancorp, Inc. and its U.S. subsidiary since 1999. He founded and serves as Vice Chairman of The ASI Show, a leading producer of trade shows throughout the country and the recipient of prestigious awards including twice winning the INC 500 Award. In addition, since 1992, Matthew has been the Chairman of ASI Computer Systems and the Vice Chairman of the Advertising Specialty Institute, a multi-year winner of the "Best Place to Work" award. Matthew also serves on the international boards of the Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) and of the JDRF (formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). He held the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Medical Data Institute and was a past board member of The Society of Independent Show Organizers, and Changing Attitudes, Decisions and Environments for Kids (CADEKids).

Cheryl Creuzot is President Emeritus of Wealth Development Strategies, LLC. and Wealth Development Strategies Investment Advisory, Inc. She serves as a Commissioner of The Port of Houston, a position she has held since 2020. Creuzot is also Vice Chair of the Finance and Capital Planning Committee for the MD Anderson Cancer Center Board of Visitors and serves on the board of Frenchy’s Companies, a family-owned food manufacturing and restaurant organization. Over the past twenty years, Creuzot has served on more than 15 private, non-profit and academic boards including the board of Amegy Bank and the board of Unity National Bank, where she chaired the Compliance, Audit and Investment Committees, and is the former board member of the University of Houston Board of Visitors and of the Greater Houston Partnership. In addition to her vast experience, Creuzot published, “Real Lives. Real Money.” in 2018 and has published multiple articles for media outlets such as Money Magazine, Black Enterprise, and the Houston Chronicle. She is a prolific public speaker and has been honored by numerous organizations including the Urban League and the University of Houston.

John M. Eggemeyer is a Founder and Managing Principal of Castle Creek® Capital LLC which has been a lead investor in the banking industry since 1990. The firm is currently one of the most active investors in community banking with in excess of $900 million in assets under management in private equity.  John has over 40 years of experience in the banking industry and has been involved in more than 75 bank acquisitions. In 2006, American Banker honored him as “Community Banker of the Year” for his success as a builder of community banking companies.  Prior to founding Castle Creek®, John spent nearly 20 years as a senior executive with some of the largest banking organizations in the U.S. with responsibilities across a broad spectrum of banking activities.

John has served as the Chairman of PacWest Bancorp since its formation in 2000 and is a founder and Director of Guaranty Bancorp. Previously, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of White River Capital and a Board member of TCF Financial Corporation, Western Bancorp and American Financial Realty.

Hersh Kozlov has been a Director of The Bancorp, Inc. and its U.S. subsidiary since 2014. Currently, Hersh is a partner at Duane Morris LLP, an international law firm. Previously, he was a partner at Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen LLP.  Hersh is a member of the Board of Directors of Resource America, Inc. and was previously a member of the Board of Directors of JeffBanks, Inc., TRM Corporation, Hudson United Bank, U.S. Healthcare Life Insurance Company and Princeton Insurance Company. He has also served as counsel to the board of directors of U.S. Healthcare, Inc. and was appointed by the President of the United States to be a member of the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy & Negotiations, serving in that role from 2002 to 2004.

William H. Lamb has been a Director of The Bancorp, Inc. and its U.S. subsidiary since 2004. He currently serves as Chairman of Lamb McErlane PC and directs the firm's Post-Trial and Appellate Advocacy Group. From January 2003 through January 2004, William served as a Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and is the only former Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice currently in practice. He has been recognized as a Top 100 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for appellate law and as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer since 2005. Previously, William served as Director and Corporate Secretary of JeffBanks, Inc. and Jefferson Bank until their acquisition by Hudson United Bank in 1999. He has served as President Judge of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Court of Judicial Discipline and on the Chester County Boy Scouts Council. Since 2004, William has been appointed to the President's Advisory Committee on the Arts and the Pennsylvania Elections Reform Task Force.

Daniela A. Mielke is Managing Partner of Commerce Technology Advisors, LLC, a privately-held firm which she founded in April 2016, and which provides consulting services to technology, financial services and private equity companies on organic and inorganic growth strategies, including building payment businesses and using artificial intelligence. From 2018 to December 2020, Ms. Mielke served as the North American CEO of RS2 Inc., one of the leading providers of payment processing services in Europe and Asia Pacific. She has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial services industry in prestigious positions including: Chief Strategy and Product Officer at Vantiv, VP, Head of Global Strategy and Market Intelligence for PayPal Inc., Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company, and several others. Ms. Mielke currently serves as a board member for Nuvei, a global payment technology provider listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, and FINCA International, a global NGO dedicated to alleviating poverty. Previously, she served as a board member of the Board of GCPS, a multinational joint venture of commercial card-issuing banks from 2005 to 2007.

Stephanie B. Mudick has had a long-standing career in the financial services industry, most recently having spent 11 years as Executive Vice President at JPMorgan Chase and Co. During her tenure, she served as Head of Regulatory Strategy, where she managed the global regulatory agenda for the firm across all of its businesses and products. Stephanie also served as a key spokesperson for the firm as the chief point of contact for the firm’s regulators, while designing and driving the execution of its most significant regulatory deliverables. She was key to the design and development of the firm’s controls infrastructure. Stephanie also managed conflicts of interest for the firm. Prior to that time, she held various roles for Citigroup, Inc. including: EVP, CAO, Head of Consumer Operations of the Global Consumer Group, a business providing a wide-array of banking, lending, insurance and investment services to individual and small business consumers in over 50 countries, with $12 billion in annual revenue; and as Co-General Counsel of the firm. In her combined experience, Stephanie served on Senior Management Committees and regularly engaged with and advised their respective Boards of Directors and Board Committees. She has previously served as Director of two public company Boards: The Student Loan Corporation (NYSE:STU), Ixe Grupo Financiero (BMV:IXE) and numerous nonprofits including City Year New York, which she chaired for six years.
