We’re banking on the strength of our communities.

Because we firmly believe that financial well-being is a critical component of personal well-being, we dedicate our time and resources—as a company and as individuals—to aligned community efforts.

Financial well-being matters.

The Bancorp is particularly committed to working with non-profit organizations that focus on building financial well-being. Our support can take many forms, from corporate grants and employee volunteerism, to the building of longer-lasting strategic partnerships with non-profit organizations whose missions closely align with ours. From teaching educational workshops, building homes that hold the keys to independence, or serving meals for those in transition, we are proud of our long history of service.

Strategic Partnerships

Promoting financial literacy is a cause that all of us at The Bancorp are devoted to. Through our strategic alliance with Clarifi, we are able to make this mission a reality. Clarifi is a widely recognized and respected non-profit community resource devoted to fostering “Lifelong Financial Literacy.” Since its founding five decades ago, Clarifi has assisted more than 600,000 residents of Philadelphia and the Delaware Valley in improving credit, reducing debt, establishing savings, and become more financially fit.  We are extremely proud of our ongoing support of Clarifi and helping individuals make smarter financial decisions in all stages of their lives.

VOlunteerism

In every community where we are located, our employees readily and generously donate their time and talents to non-profit organizations. Our corporate commitment to the importance of volunteerism is best demonstrated through our Employee Volunteerism Program (EVP), which commits paid time off to any employee documenting volunteerism with a registered non-profit (of their choice) during non-work hours.

Corporate grants

Through our Corporate Grant program, we provide financial support to select non-profit organizations operating within our headquarters region of Southeastern Pennsylvania, as well as within the other locations where we conduct business. Grants are made only to qualified, federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations as defined by the Internal Revenue Service, and are reviewed on a quarterly basis. For questions regarding our Corporate Grant program, please email grants@thebancorp.com
