Mark Connolly has been appointed Executive Vice President and Head of Credit Markets. In this role, he will lead all credit activities within The Bancorp’s business lines and discontinued operations. Previously, these areas were under the direction of Hugh McFadden, Chief Operating Officer. Connolly will report to Damian Kozlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Since he joined the company, Connolly has managed the development of the Integrated Business Plan for The Bancorp. More recently, he has worked on the comprehensive review of The Bancorp’s Discontinued Operations and Walnut Street assets.
Prior to joining The Bancorp, Connolly held a number of senior leadership and credit roles within the Citi Private Bank and Morgan Stanley Private Bank. At both institutions, he managed banking and lending teams comprised of more than 300 professionals and more than $20 billion in loans outstanding. Lending solutions focused on wealth management clients with loans secured by marketable securities, commercial real estate, alternative investments, aircraft, art, and business interests.
Additionally, Connolly has roots in the fintech sector, having held senior leadership roles, including Chief Financial Officer, at Tresata, a rapidly growing software company that is focused on delivering data analytics to the financial services sector.
Connolly holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance (magna cum laude) from the University of Notre Dame.
